wrinkle-in-time2One of my favorite books of all time is A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’Engle…that’s where I first learned about tessering…or the tesseract…the ability to fold time…like you would a piece of paper and jump from one spot on the page to another (or spot in time) avoiding all the stuff in the middle…I might jump back and figure out where this year has gone…perhaps, I spent too much time with my face in the computer and wammo I looked up and YOWZA! it’s not just NOV…but near the end of NOV…in a couple of months my oldest will enter into “the teen years”…(P.S.: in my head that sounded like “the twilight zone”)…I knew it would come but not quite so fast…he’s grown soooo much this summer…in size and heart and all around…and wow!  he’s gonna be a teenager…we have so few years left with him here at home…that’s sad…well, unless he’s one of those boomerang boys…you know, you throw ’em out and they keep coming back…til they’re 30!  😉 !!  Truly, this year in particular has flown by…do they keep going faster and faster the older I get…yes, I think they do…I’ve been busy doing several shows so I know that has made time fly some…and the kids have been busy…more so than normal…but I’m just sitting here wondering if I made enough moments in the busy times…have I been so busy I only focused on me, not on the kids enough or other enough…have I been to busy to stop and help…or stop and listen…or just stop…??  I’ve gained some friends this summer and fall that I want to keep…I want 2009 to find us growing closer and not losing touch…which it’s so easy to do when you get busy…or only think about yourself…I guess I’m rambling now…and I guess the reason for this blog is really just to remind me…(maybe you) to stop for a minute…listen to those around you who might be saying “I’m fine” but if you stop and listen you might hear something different…stop for a minute and look to see someone else’s hurt or pain which you might now see otherwise and help them…and stop for a minute and fill a moment with something you can look back on at the end of 2009 and be proud of…so you can say…”yep!!  time flew by again…but this year, I have moments to look back on and know that I know I filled with something worthwhile!!”  Now…go to bed and rest up for Thanksgiving and Christmas…it’s here and y’all are gonna be busy busy busy…enjoy the moments!!
